NEW! Now 3 Ways To Be a Bridge of Hope

May 19, 2010

In April 2010, the board of Bridge of Hope National approved two new ways to work with local leaders towards the goal of ending and preventing homelessness for women and children across the U.S. by calling churches into action through Bridge of Hope’s 3-way partnership model.

We look forward to working with compassionate people from many Christian faith traditions through Bridge of Hope Affiliates, Bridge of Hope Program Sites and Bridge of Hope OneChurch Sites. Together with these local leaders, we seek to end and prevent homelessness for more women and children across the U.S. by calling churches into action using Bridge of Hope’s effective 3-way partnership program model.  To learn more about the three options below, contact info@bridgeofhopeinc.org or call (toll-free) 866-670-HOPE.

  1. Bridge of Hope Affiliates – for those who want to join the network of Bridge of Hope affiliates governed by local boards who hire staff to recruit/train mentors and provide rental assistance and case management.                                                                       Bridge of Hope National provides: comprehensive training and masters level social work support for all facets of program implementation plus tools for recruiting/training mentors, and coaching re: best practices in fundraising and nonprofit governance.
  2. Bridge of Hope Program Sites – for existing Christian faith-based agencies (already successfully serving homeless and at-risk single mothers on the housing continuum) who want to expand their impact by using Bridge of Hope’s 3-way partnership model.      Bridge of Hope National provides: a complete mentor training program, access to masters level social work support for local case managers plus tools the agency can use for fundraising and recruiting local church ministry partners.
  3. Bridge of Hope OneChurch Sites – for individual churches in communities where there is not already a Bridge of Hope Affiliate or Bridge of Hope Program Site.  Churches raise funds for rental assistance, find a local agency partner and form a mentoring group(s).  Bridge of Hope National provides: a complete mentor training program, access to masters level social work support for local case managers plus key tools the church can use to recruit mentors and raise rental assistance funds.
