Spreading the Bridge of Hope Vision in Your Community

The vision for a local Bridge of Hope ministry often begins with one or two Christians. These are people like you who recognize the needs of poor and homeless single mothers and believe in the potential for churches to make a real difference in the lives of these families.

Spreading your vision of connecting homeless families with churches is the first step in starting a Bridge of Hope in your community. We provide a number of free resources to help you talk with local churches and individuals about offering long-term solutions to poverty and homelessness for single mothers and their children through this ministry.

  • Bridge of Hope's Affiliate Development Workbook #1 includes basic information about Bridge of Hope as well as tools to help you explain the ministry to other Christians.
  • Bridge of Hope brochures help you communicate the vision to Christians in your community.
  • Bridge of Hope's video can be shared with those who want to learn more.
  • A Bridge of Hope informational meeting can be scheduled when you have identified at least 15 people - from a minimum of six Christian churches and denominations - who are interested in learning more. At no charge, a Bridge of Hope representative will travel to your community to make a presentation and answer questions about how to develop a Bridge of Hope ministry. At the end of the meeting, the group will be invited to form a steering committee.

Remember, you don't have to do it all by yourself! We'd like to talk with you about the needs you see and the vision you have for your community. As you spread your vision with others, we are available with phone consultation, resources and support all along the way.
